As part of the Disaster Recovery, Joplin has developed the J-HAP program.  J-HAP stands for Joplin Homeowners Assistance Program.  The purpose is to repopulate the tornado affected area.

Through the program, buyers can apply for 20% of the home cost!

There are requirements for the buyer and the home.

The Joplin Homebuyer Assistance Program, J-HAP,  has been extended to include new construction as well as existing constructions.  This is a fantastic loan program is provided by the city of Joplin to repopulate the tornado devastated area.  One of the things that make this program so great is that you can end up getting a $30,000 credit on your mortgage.

But there are specific guidelines pertaining to your credit and the exact location of the home.
