J-HAP, A Great Oppurtunity for Joplin Home Buyers

The Joplin Homebuyer Assistance Program, J-HAP,  has been extended to include new construction as well as existing constructions.  This is a fantastic loan program is provided by the city of Joplin to repopulate the tornado devastated area.  One of the things that make this program so great is that you can end up getting a $30,000 credit on your mortgage.

But there are specific guidelines pertaining to your credit and the exact location of the home.

Homebuyer Assistance Program for Joplin, MO (J-HAP)


Joplin is now offering a Homebuyer Assistance Program (J-HAP) to help repopulate the tornado affected area of Joplin.   This programs grants funds that were received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development- Disaster Recovery to assist people buying homes in this designated area.

There are income limits but, for a family of 4 not making more than $60,700 annually, you may be eligible to receive up to $30,000 of Forgivable Loan.

You can pick up a application packet at Economic Security Council Office located at 302 S. Joplin Ave. Joplin, MO.
